SEOUL, March 2 Asia Pulse - South Korea's anti-trust watchdog said Sunday it gave the greenlight for a subsidiary of retail giant Lotte Group to acquire the nation's second-largest maker of "soju," a popular distilled liquor.
The Fair Trade Commission (FTC) gave the regulatory nod nearly three months after Lotte Liquor BG Co. agreed with Doosan Corp. to buy the latter's soju-making unit for 503 billion won (US$328 million).
