[Commentary by Askolds Rodins: "Russia's Style"]

There is no reason to think that Russia is no longer a threat against its neighbouring countries. On Tuesday [24 February], which is Estonia's Independence Day, the press services of the Russian president partly published letters between Dmitriy Medvedev and the mother of Russian citizen Dmitriy Ganyin, a 20-year-old who was stabbed during the chaotic conditions of the riot which occurred in Tallinn during "bronze night." The murderer has not yet been found. Medvedev writes in his letter that Russia "is preparing to ensure that the guilty parties will be punished."

Last week, the president of sunny Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiyev, signed a decision taken almost unanimously by the country's parliament to abrogate the agreement which spoke to the presence of a US air base …
