Hoveround Corp. has tapped a chief operating officer who worked for a Danish hearing aid company and for Bausch & Lomb.

Before joining the Manatee County-based manufacturer of power wheelchairs, Alan Dozier most recently served as the global chief operating officer and group president in North America for Denmark's GN ReSound, which markets under the Beltone, Resound, Interton and Otometrics brands.

Before that he led optical company Bausch and Lomb's North American Vision Care and Pharmaceuticals units as president and corporate officer.
