Section: Business News - The country's top mobile operators have joined an alliance with telecommunications regulators to pave the way for "meaningful broadband", which they think could transform the country's economy, the Bangkok Post reports.

Though studies suggest that broadband communication by itself stimulates economies, the coalition aims to enhance the benefits through regulatory and software innovation, public-private partnerships and new economic models.
