Just released statistics from the Port of Long Beach show a container slowdown of 23.4 percent, a decrease greater than earlier predicted.

In January, 200,588 TEUs of loaded imports crossed the port's docks. That was 23.3 percent lower than the 261,543 TEUs imported in January 2008.
