A CYCLIST was this afternoon taken to hospital after a crash with a car.
The man was knocked down at about 12.30pm on Kinmundy Road in Peterhead, near the roundabout junction with Cairntrodlie.
Paramedics who attended the scene initially called for an air ambulance for the patient, but decided to take him by road to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
He suffered serious head injuries, but a spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service could not say whether they were life-threatening.
