ATASK force which aims to ensure the sustainability of the British pig industry is being created.
The Pig Meat Supply Chain Task Force will bring together representatives from the industry to discuss best practice and where different parts of the chain can collaborate.
It will look in detail at areas that have been highlighted as public concerns, including labelling plus public sector procurement, endemic disease and better communications throughout the supply chain.
