Industrial sectors in Brazil have reportedly been curbing or deferring planned projects in 2009 despite an announcement by national development bank BNDES to issue R$100-120 bn ($43-51 bn) in loans to firms in 2009. Of this amount, which is higher compared with R$92.2 bn in 2008, federal energy firm Petrobras would receive roughly R$50 bn. …
