Kuala Lumpur: The People's Bank of China and Bank Negara announced the establishment yesterday of a bilateral currency swap arrangement designed to promote trade and investment between China and Malaysia.

The arrangement was signed by People's Bank of China governor Zhou Xiao Chuan and Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz following the ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of Bank Negara.
