from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 4 (Bernama) -- The statistics on road accidents and fatalities during the just concluded 19th Ops Sikap was a far cry from the target to reduce the death toll by five per cent.

The target was set by Internal Security and Public Order director Datuk Hussin Ismail following the success of Ops Sikap over the years in reducing road accidents and fatalities during Chinese New Year (CNY) festive season.

Much to the dismay of the police, the Road Transport Department and other enforcement agencies, the results this time around were not encouraging.
