FEARS were today voiced over the potential for derby day disorder after it emerged many Tyneside pubs were letting fans in early.

Sunderland are set to travel to Newcastle United tomorrow in what has been dubbed the biggest Tyne-Wear grudge game for 20 years.

Trouble flared after the last two fixtures between the clubs and tensions are heightened this time round due to their positions near Premier League's drop zone.
