[Senegalese President Reportedly Offers 'Asylum' to Zimbabwe's Mugabe]

Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade has said Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe "should be withdrawing from power", and that Senegal had offered him asylum should he feel he cannot live in Zimbabwe.

"We need to provide a smooth exit for him," Wade told the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Friday.

Wade, one of Africa's most influential leaders, said he had offered asylum to Mugabe if he stands down.
