CORPORATE: Tata Tea net rises 10% on higher revenues.
from BUSINESS LINE, January 31, 2009 Mumbai, Jan. 30 - Tata Tea Ltd has reported a 10 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 48.3 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2008, compared with Rs 43.7 crore logged during the year-ago period.
However, the group's consolidated net profit for the quarter was down to Rs 396.12 crore (Rs 1,292.22 crore). This was mainly due to the impact of a one-time profit on sale of investments in Energy Brands incorporated during the December quarter last fiscal, the company said.
