Leading Tehran Friday prayers at Tehran University campus on 30 January, Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani thanked Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for leaving one of the seminars of the World Economic Forum currently held in Switzerland to protest against the Israeli attacks on Gaza.
