The first comprehensive integration study in Germany, which was presented yesterday, is causing a stir: Turkish migrants, says the central result of the study, hardly integrate and live on welfare to a particularly great extent; 93 per cent of Turks born in Germany marry Turks; one-third never finish high school.

There is no comparable study in Austria - but the picture outlined by the existing data is similar.
