THE trade union federations of SA and Zimbabwe yesterday called on African Union leaders to establish a neutral transitional body to arrange free and fair elections under international supervision in Zimbabwe.

This follows yet another failure by the Southern African Development Community (SADC) under SA's chairmanship to broker a solution to Zimbabwe's political impasse and economic meltdown.
