Tokyo, Jan. 30 Kyodo - Japan will seek to resolve a recent dispute with Russia over the requirement for disembarkation cards to enter four disputed islands at working-level negotiations, and the issue will not affect plans for the leaders of the two nations to meet next month, Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone said Friday.

"It is important that the Foreign Ministry engage in serious negotiations with the (Russian) side and work towards a solution," Nakasone told a press conference. "If a meeting of the leaders is realized, they will discuss international affairs and various bilateral issues, and …
