Slovenia to boost presence in Afghan peace mission, pull out Chad troops.

Ljubljana, 29 January (STA) - The Slovenian government decided on Thursday to bolster Slovenia's peace-keeping team in Afghanistan with three additional military instructors. It also decided to withdraw Slovenian troops from Chad.

A total of 10 Slovenian military instructors will help train Afghan security forces from February onwards, Defence Minister Ljubica Jelusic said after the cabinet's session. They will serve alongside 59 other Slovenian peacekeepers currently involved in the NATO-led ISAF mission in this Central Asian country.
