Philippines: Lakas poised to select bets for 2010 polls.
Section: General News - Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri said on Wednesday (January 28, 2009) that the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats will hold its expanded executive meeting on Thursday at Holiday Inn in Clark Economic Zone, Pampanga to come-up with a shortlist of candidates for the 2010 presidential elections.
Sen. Zuburi, secretary-general of Lakas-CMD, added that they are looking for homegrown talents like Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr., Sen. Richard Gordon and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Bayani Fernando.
