VIENNA (AFX) - The Hungarian government is said to be undecided whether to chose the existing Gazprom pipeline Bluestream over the OMV pipeline project Nabucco, planned to ensure gas supply to the European Union from Iran and Azerbaijan via Turkey.
According to a report in the latest edition of Profil magazine, the close relationship between Hungarian premier Ferenc Gyurcsany and Russian president Vladimir Putin, and hefty delays to construction of the Nabucco pipeline to 2009, have left the door wide open for Gazprom.
