BEIJING, January 20, SinoCast -- China's surviving telecom operators are quickening their 3G network deployment to strive for larger slices of the 3G cake.
China Mobile and China Telecom, two of the Big Three in the Chinese telecom industry, will both boost their 3G businesses in the key cities across the country this March in accordance with their plans.
China Mobile, which is licensed to provide telecom services based on the country's homebrewed TD-SCDMA technology, plans to operate most of the TD-SCDMA base stations in 28 cities across the country in March, said Li Yue, vice president for the company, at a conference held on January 16, 2009.
