Highfliers Gang up against Knockoffs.

SHENZHEN, January 19, SinoCast -- In the capacity of director of the Shenzhen Computer Industry Association (SCIA), Du Heping, chairman of Great Wall Computer, initiated the Mini Notebook Computer Branch under SCIA on January 4 in an effort to prevent spread of knock-off Netbooks.

Such move of Mr. Du came at a time when a mass of unlicensed or less-known mobile phone and PC makers are tapping into the most profitable Netbook market as the Internet-surfing- and-entertainment-oriented mini laptops are taking on in China.

Unlicensed or fake Netbook makers have thrown the pricing system of brand names into confusion just like they did in the mobile phone market. …
