TRAFFIC lights are to be installed to keep kids safe at a new city school.

City councillor Bill Cormie today welcomed the move as he had called for safety improvements in Midstocket.

The SNP Midstocket and Rosemount member, pictured, had wanted lights at the school which was created after the merger of Beechwood and Mile End.

Councillors on the central area committee voted to include traffic lights at the junction between Raeden Park Road, Midstocket Road and Cairnaquheen Gardens.
