Seats ahead a Lily Brett novel was being waved about and animatedly discussed. We were waiting for the Melbourne Theatre Company's production of David Williamson's new play Scarlett O'Hara at the Crimson Parrot to begin. Taking off, it delighted the near-capacity audience. The smooth production, the joke-studded script, the cast and the star gave pleasure. As the smiling-faced audience left, someone near me said, "It was wonderful, wasn't it?"
