Fashion folk were thrilled when the downtown indie label Bruce, started in 1996, reappeared a little more than two years ago after a two-year hiatus. And now there's even more good news: For spring, the collection's design duo, Daphne Gutierrez and Nicole Noselli, have introduced a sister contemporary line called Bruce II. Their sequel venture is made up of coolly simple day piecesdraped vests, slouchy trousers in fabrics like chambray, linen-cotton, and washed silkincluding past favorites now revived (picture Bruce's superflattering off-the-shoulder dress from spring 2008).
