Brigham Young University UT revoked the diploma of a man who made a calendar featuring shirtless Mormon missionaries in mostly modest poses.
Chad Hardy finished his BYU course work in June and participated in August graduation. He found out in September that the school put a "nonacademic hold" on his record after BYU found out Hardy had been excommunicated from the Mormon church.
According to the church, Hardy's July 13 excommunication was based on conduct unbecoming a church member and failure to uphold the school's honor code.
