University of Texas-Austin female professors earned an average of $9,000 less than their male counterparts in 2007, according to a report from the school's Gender Equity Task Force.
The report also found that female non-tenure track faculty earned $4,507 less than their male counterparts.
The climate portion of the report brought more bad news, with more than 14% of female faculty members saying they had been sexually harassed. Women faculty members were also more likely than men to experience gender, race, age or family-status discrimination.
