An anthropology professor has donated $1 million to Brown University RI, three decades after she successfully sued the school for sex bias in denying her tenure.

Dr. Louise Lamphere's gift to Brown establishes a visiting professorship in gender studies, which will give young or untenured professors the opportunity to teach in women's studies and another department.
