GEORGE TOWN: She expected to fail in all her subjects, but partially blind Regina Hoo Lei Kim was surprised when she got her Penilaian Menengah Rendah results yesterday.

The 15-year-old pupil of St George's Girls School scored 6As and 1 B - the B for Geography and the As for Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Science, History and Living Skills.

"I am surprised with my results, as I had expected to flunk all my subjects," she said when met at the school hall here.

Her parents, businessman Hoo Chiew Chuan, 48, and home-maker Sharmani Jane, were happy and proud of their daughter's success.
