The most astonishing thing about Kinder Aggugini isn't his accent, which liltingly crosses Italian and Scottish. "I'm Milanese by birth," he says, laughing, "but Glaswegian by choice. I visit there a lot." Or the tattoo that traces around his neck that reads LOVELESS until he pulls down the collar of his sweater to reveal the legend ONCE I WAS LOVELESS AND NOW I LOVE. No, what's astounding is that he hasn't blipped on the fashion radar far sooner. The London-based Aggugini has been quietly working on his label since 2006, snapped up by the likes of stylist Charlotte Stockdale, who appreciates the way this former designer for Versace, Calvin Klein, and John Galliano can skew prettiness toward something original and interesting.
