ELDERLY residents are celebrating after having their own bus stop installed outside their home.
People living in Donnini House and the surrounding area in Easington were helped by East Durham Homes customer involvement team.
Carole Tilley, East Durham Homes customer involvement officer, was told by people living in Donnini House Sheltered Housing Unit about the difficulties they were having due to the 242 bus stopping either at Easington Colliery or the top end of Easington Village. This meant the residents had to walk from the top of Lee Terrace or from the Colliery with their shopping, which they found difficult.
