A NEW range of limited-edition trainers, made from bus tyres and seats, hit the streets of Aberdeen yesterday.

The shoes, made entirely of recycled materials, have been created through a partnership with transport giant FirstGroup and Trip (Transport Recycling in Partnership), which aims to reuse materials that would otherwise go to landfill.

Created from material from a fleet of First buses, the basketball-style trainers launched in London three weeks ago and made their north-east debut yesterday.
