NEW DELHI, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - State-run Indian Oil Corp (BSE:530965) (IOC) on Tuesday announced the installation of a Single Point Mooring (SPM) system off the Paradip coast in Orrisa for unloading of crude oil by tankers.
"The SPM system was commissioned on Sunday after successfully unloading of crude oil from a vessel named Jawaharlal Nehru," the company said in a statement here.
With this, the commissioning of Paradip-Haldia crude oil pipeline has started and delivery of crude oil at Haldia, through this line is expected to start shortly.
The pipeline project consisted of installation of SPM facilities at Paradip port, laying of 48 inch diameter, 20 km long pipeline from SPM to the shore tank farm, construction of a tank-farm at Paradip and laying of a 30 inch diameter 330 km long crude oil pipeline to connect IOC's existing Haldia-Barauni crude oil pipeline at Haldia.
