JAKARTA, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia is planning to open flight route to Europe through the Netherlands in 2010 if the European Commission lifts its ban on Indonesian airplanes from flying in its airspace next year.
"We predict that we will be able to serve the European route, the Netherlands in particular, again in 2010," Garuda spokesman Pujobroto told a year-end press conference here on Wednesday.
According to Pujobroto, the Indonesian government has predicted that the Europen Commission would lift its ban next year.
He said that Garuda would use a new service concept in serving the route which was closed at the end of 2004.
