JAKARTA, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - The lifting of crude oil and oil condensate ij Indonesia reached 931,000 barrels per day (bpd) in 2008 or 4,000 barrels per day more than the 927,000 bpd set in the 2008 amended state budget, a minister said.
Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro said here Wednesday the figure was also higher than last year at 898,000 barrels per day.
"It has increased by 33,000 barrels/day compared to last year," he said.
According to him, the government was continuing to make some efforts to keep down the oil production slowdown to the maximum.
Meanwhile, the production value in 2008 reached 978,000 barrels/day or 1,000 barrels more than the target of 2008 State budget amandement which was 977,000 barrels/day.
