JAKARTA, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia is planning to open 18 new flight routes in 2009 after the arrival of 14 new Boeing 737 NGs it has purchsed, a spokesman said.
Garuda Communications Chief Officer Purjobroto told a year-end press conference here on Wednesday the new routes would among others connect the following cities Jakarta-Tanjungkarang (Lampung), Jakarta-Malang (East Java), Jakarta-Makasar-Kendari (Southeast Sulawesi), Jakarta-Makassar-Gorontalo (Gorontalo), Jakarta-Makassar-Sorong (Papua) and Jakarta-Makassar-Ambon (Maluku).
