JAKARTA, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - Bank Indonesia (BI) expects the country's inflation rate to drop so that the central bank will be able to cut its key rate.
"We hope inflation can be controlled and drop but how low it will go, let us just wait and see," BI Governor Boediono said after launching the second volume of the new era on fiscal policy here on Wednesday.
He said BI would set the BI Rate on January 6 after considering all factors.
"Later, maybe on January 6, we will have an overall view on how low the right BI rate should be," he said.
