Beijing, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - China's economy has demonstrated a downward turn, facing a risk of deflation, aid a research report issued by Guohai Securities published on December 31.
According to the report, China would face a stern situation of export in the coming year. The consumption growth is expected to slow down upon declining of income, while the investment has to pin on the government for increases.
The report forecasts that China's GDP growth will be about 7.5 per cent in the year.
The country's CPI is predicted to grow 0.5 per cent in 2008, much lower than the growth in 2008.
