from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA TERENGGANU, Dec 28 (Bernama)-- Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Senator Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh said Kuala Terengganu Umno is in a strong position to face the Kuala Terengganu by-election on Jan 17.

The Deputy Home Minister said although there were talks of a split in the division, the problem was resolved after Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak named him as candidate on Dec 20.
