SINGER Ray Rozells announced: "We're not too sure of this song, but we're going to do it anyway." And the band swung effortlessly into Ray Charles' Unchain My Heart, tight as you like, swinging the audience back to the 1960s, foot-tapping and finger-snapping and smiles all the way.

The crowd roared its appreciation. This was jazz night at G-Spot in G Hotel, Penang. It was also the first of two special jazz nights, to build up to the 5th Penang Island Jazz Festival on Dec 4-7 at Bayview Beach Resort in Batu Ferringhi.
