WHILE most people suffer from over spending, there is a group of people who suffer from compulsive saving. Those who suffer from compulsive saving never enjoy the things money can buy today. They long to feel forever secure. In short, they save more than necessary.

Neither excessive spending nor compulsive saving is good in personal financial management. While excessive spending will deprive a person's financial future, compulsive saving will deprive him and his family their current well being.

Compulsive saving is a compulsive way of handling insecurity, anxiety and fear of the future.
