Dead Sea -Egypt and Israel on Monday [22 December] voiced support for the Red-Dead canal project, which seeks to address the Kingdom's water and energy challenges.

"We have no official opposition to the Red-Dead canal project," Egyptian

Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mahmoud Abu Zaid said on the

sidelines of the ministerial water conference yesterday, stressing that tourism

in Egypt will not be affected by the venture. …
