A South Sacramento homeowner discovered that two men had forced their way inside his home on November 8 in an apparent home invasion. According to Sacramento police reports, when the burglars were confronted by the homeowner, the two attempted to rob him. The two men, who police say were known to the homeowner, threatened him and demanded money. He was able to escape briefly, retrieving his gun and shooting the larger of the two men in self-defense, according to the police department spokesman.
