BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Dominant Chinese search company Baidu is expected to face a legal challenge to its business practices, the Financial Times reported, citing lawyers consolidating complaints by dozens of companies.
The report said the challenge will focus on Baidu's practice of auctioning key search words and generating results favoring search word buyers. This practice triggered an investigation recently when some of the top search results turned out to be from unlicensed medical companies making unauthorized claims.
