Two clerks--one uniformed, one not--were working together at a 7-Eleven Store in Kansas City, Missouri, late in the evening of September 23. They work just across the street from the Kansas City Police Department. The clerk who was "out of uniform" was wearing a legally concealed firearm, having applied for and received a concealed weapon permit. In Kansas permits for concealed carry are available for a small fee to qualified applicants after testing.
According to KCTV News, as the clerk and his partner performed their duties late that night, an 18-year-old robbery suspect, a local named Vincent Williams, entered the store and attempted to rob the uniformed cashier while brandishing a gun.
