HANOI, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - The Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has estimated a budget of 1 trillion VND (US$59 million) up to 2010 to develop an irrigation system adaptable to global climate change.
MARD said from now to 2015, almost one-third of the amount or 300 billion VND will be dedicated to research on the impact of global climate change upon national agriculture and the countryside.
