Writer/director John Erick Dowdle rehashes Spanish horror film for a Hollywood audience. Filmed in fauz-documentary style, a la Blair Witch Project, the plot follows TV reporter Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her team as they file a behind-the-scenes report on an LA fire station. While following the firefighters on a routine 911 call, the TV crew are barricaded inside an apartment block and find themselves in the midst of an outbreak of a rabies-like contagion.
