The incidents are being linked to an earlier burglary in Ashton-in-Makerfield at 12.45am on Sunday where a Mitsubishi Colt was stolen.That vehicle was later found abandoned on School Lane near to the Fox Inn public house in Roby Mill, Up Holland.At around 1.30am the same morning, two men wearing dark clothing were disturbed down the driveway of a house on School Lane in Roby Mill. The keys to the Mitsubishi from the previous burglary were found a short distance away. A short time later, two men were disturbed by a neighbour about 400 yards away attempting to gain entry into another property.These two men are believed to have made off on foot across open fields in the direction of the Star public house and Appley Bridge.
