University of Iowa President Sally Mason fired two top administrators in the wake of the mishandling of a complaint of an alleged sexual assault at a campus residence hall last year.
Mason fired Phillip Jones, VP for student services, and Marcus Mills, VP for legal affairs and general counsel, for their roles in the scandal. A female student-athlete alleged that two university football players raped her in her residence hall in 2007. Iowa failed to take public action until her parents wrote letters of complaint.
