Portugal - One in ten Portugese mobile customers uses UMTS in Q1.

Third generation mobile (3G) was used in the first quarter of this year by 1.281 million Portuguese users, according to data published by the Portugese telecommunications regulator Anacom. These figures refer to clients of the terrestrial mobile service which accessed UMTS at least once between January and March. The users of UMTS services thus represent, during the period under analysis, around 10 percent of total clients of the mobile terrestrial service, which totalled 12.4 million clients.
